There is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between “computer programmers” and real Software Engineers. The “professionals” in danger are just these smart guys that did a 3-months Bootcamp.
I would agree to call this an “occupation”, but unfortunately these smart guys tried to occupy a field that do not belong to them.
So let me explain you all in very clear terms:
Software Development is not for people who like Money.
Software Development is only for people who like Math.
Chess Players are good developers.
Backgammon Players are good team leaders.
Billiards Players are good for Business Development.
Poker Players are good for Sales.
Risk players are good CEOs, but only if they are extremely lucky.
Normally I would only hire developers that play all of them: Chess, Backgammon, Billiards, Poker and Risk.
But of course we also need to hire some female engineers, otherwise the guys in the team will start behaving like Homer Simpson.
